So for this trimester at University, I am going to be working with a software known as Maya, and during this term, I have been learning how to use this software so that I can create 3D models of a building and of a prop that are going to be needed for submission. Not only that, I am going to be animating it too! Which I really look forward to doing. Below is a picture of how my project is currently looking, it isn't the best, but by the time I'm done, it will look so much better.

Maya has been one of the most finicky software's I have ever had to use, but that hasn't stopped me. It has been interesting learning how to use Maya and being able to actually put into plan the things you've learned with the creations you want to make, and as you slowly progress, it starts to look more and more impressive. There will be another update (most likely when its finished) but that's still a fair few weeks away. But along the way, I may upload some screenshots of everything coming together.
As I said in the beginning, I am in the process of making a building and a prop, my prop may not have been started yet, but my idea is already drawn down on paper, so I have a rough idea of how I want it to look, but this may also change. Being able to come up with my own ideas has been hard, but I have took my inspiration from one of my all time favourite games, which would be, Final Fantasy 14.

With inspiration from one of my favourite games I am looking to create and design a building that looks like it will belong in an underwater city, similar to what is shown in the picture on the left, above. I love the idea of under water cities, and so it has become something that I aim to achieve. The crystal on the right, I am aiming to recreate, and along with some animation it will rotate, and possibly along with some smaller fragments of crystal that orbit around it whilst also rotating at a slow speed. I think it will look great when it is achieved.
There's a chance that I will also post some screenshots of my work in progress, so best keep an eye out ;D
